What is AI automation, in plain terms?
AI automation is software that finishes a whole task on its own. Classic automation moves data between systems on a rule you set in advance. AI automation adds judgement on top of the rule: it reads an untidy email, works out which customer it concerns, decides what should happen next, and then does it. That is why it now handles work a rule-based tool never could, including sales follow-up, supplier emails, document handling and first-line customer answers.
