What is a RAG knowledge base?
RAG stands for retrieval-augmented generation. Instead of relying on what a model learned during training, the system first retrieves the relevant passages from your own stored documents and hands those to the model, which then writes the answer from them. The practical effect is that the answer can be traced back to a document you own, and when the document changes the answer changes with it.
What does a knowledge base make possible?
It is the layer underneath everything else. Without it, each new AI feature has to be taught your business from scratch.

How is a knowledge base built?
The work is mostly editorial, not technical. Deciding what is true is the hard part.
1. Inventory what you already have
We collect the documents, price lists, procedures, contracts and past correspondence that already exist, in whatever format and state they are in.
2. Decide what is current
Old price lists contradict new ones. Two branches have different procedures. We work through these with you and settle on one version of the truth.
3. Structure and load it
Documents are cleaned, split into sensible sections and loaded with access rules, so that staff and systems only see what they should.
4. Test and maintain
We test it with the questions your team actually asks, then set up a simple routine so updates flow in. A knowledge base that is not maintained goes stale within months.

What does RAG mean in simple terms?
RAG means the AI looks things up in your own documents before it answers, instead of relying only on what it learned during training. The answer is written from material you own, so you can check it, and it updates when your documents update.
Why not just use ChatGPT with our documents attached?
For occasional use that is fine. It breaks down when several people need consistent answers daily, when the material is confidential, and when you need to know which document an answer came from. A managed knowledge base solves those three things.
How much work is it for our team?
Most of the effort is one or two working sessions to settle contradictions in your existing documents. After that it is a short review of what we have loaded. The editorial work is front-loaded on purpose.
Who owns the knowledge base?
You do. It runs on private infrastructure under your control, and the content is your material. If you stop working with us, the knowledge base stays with you.
Does it work in Thai and English?
Yes. Both languages are supported in the same knowledge base, which matters when head office works in English and the operating team works in Thai.
How do you handle PDPA?
We keep a record of what is processed, set clear retention, restrict access by role and hold the data under your control. Business data is not used to train third-party models.
